Part 1 - Recognising and Responding to Compassion Fatigue Training
Course Content Includes:

The concept, causes, signs, symptoms, risk factors, and effects of Compassion Fatigue

Self-compassion and why it can be so challenging

Ways to increase and sustain emotional energy including the impact of diet and exercise, strategies to improve sleep and methods of relaxation.

Part 2 - Reflecting on and Responding to Compassion Fatigue Training
Course Content Includes:

A recap of the concept, causes, signs, symptoms, risk factors, and effects of Compassion Fatigue

Identification of the stages of the stress response and strategies for supporting the individual and the team to build connection and resilience
-
Exploration of the physical effects of the stress response including the impact of the microbiome and the mind-body connection

Managers Course
Course Content Includes:

The topics covered in the courses outlined above, from a manager’s perspective

A palliative care team on the in-person training
Pre and Post Course Monitoring
All participants will be asked to complete a pre-course questionnaire before the group training, and the follow-up questionnaire 12 weeks following the date of their course.
This data is then anonymised and shared with the organisation, with feedback and course evaluations immediately following the training.
All participants will receive a CPD accredited certificate following the training, a free self-care gift and be sent a quarterly online newsletter which offers further self-care strategies and ideas.

We are the only UK based training company to deliver bespoke courses designed to enable attendees to explore the impact of Compassion Fatigue on their mental health and wellbeing. Our courses are CPD accredited along with the IATP (International Association of Trauma Professionals) and the RCN (Royal College of Nursing*). The full course holds 6 CPD accreditation points/hours.
